My friends and I used to assemble battery powered toy cars called Mini 4WD, made by the Japanese company Tamiya since 1982. I think they still create some advanced models, but I like to remember those rough plastic model cars activated by a small lever. The funniest thing was that they were not radio-controlled, so they could just go straight...straight to an unavoidable crash.

Ciao Andrea, un caro saluto.

Hello Jules,
thank you for your comment :);

...the barebone theme is called "Deschutes", and is still available in its original form:
http://www.pacquola.org/files/deschutes.zip

There is also the original documentation...:
http://www.pacquola.org/pages/deschutes.htm

...and a real example:
http://www.alessandragaletta.com/

Keep in mind that, to comply with the latest Wordpress guidelines, the code (dated 2007) needs some rework.

Came across your blog via a comment you left at:

http://wpbits.wordpress.com/2007/08/17/making-wordpress-themes-i-static-basics/

So two things:

1. Love your blog!
2. Any chance of seeing code for the "barebone" theme?

With best wishes,
Jules

Guys,
I find your website "Killed Trans Am" absolutely hilarious! Having been slightly less afflicted than you (dismantled 3 Trans Ams for a few parts for the fourth) I can relate. By the ways, I have a nice 4 speed tranny been sitting in the corner of my garage for 10 year, just can't part with it.

Hello Michael,
of course! Michael Caine expressed in these films, and in general between the '60 and the '70 (for example in <i>"Get Carter"</i>), a style, a way of being unique.
