Hello Trip,

this is due to the fact that the code of a post may be edited,
while the code of the links in the sidebar are dynamically generated by functions of WordPress; for example, wp_list_bookmarks() lists the bookmarks.
So you should edit the declarations that you added to the stylesheet...

a.linkopacity img {....}
a.linkopacity:hover img {....}

....this way:

a.linkopacity img, div.box a:link img {....}
a.linkopacity:hover img, div.box a:hover img {....}

Thanks for responding so quickly to my question about link-personalization! It's much appreciated. I sorry I wasn't clearer in my original post (#50). To change the opacity of the image links, I need to enter, "class=linkopacity" before the "href" entry in the html code of the link. While I can access the html of the posts and pages, all we seem able to access in the link sidebar is the link page which accepts the http of the image but doesn't allow access to the html associated with the link. I may not be explaining myself clearly and I apologize. I'm a preacher and not a web designer. :-) Thanks again!

Hello Trip, thank you :), your personalization of "Tomorrow" is interesting.
To answer your question: yes; in this case, through the control panel of WordPress.
Select Links, choose one, and then edit.
Under the Advanced section, enter the image address in the Address image field.

Awesome theme! So simplistic! So elegant! I modified the images so when rolled over by the cursor the opacity changes (I think opacity is a word). Is there any way to modify the sidebars ("links") in the side column via the editor to allow modification to the link images?

Hello,
it seems a problem of write permission.
I can not investigate about other possibilities, because I don't know the address of your website...
Yes, pacquola.org is based on a version of "Tomorrow."

Hello! Your theme is lovely! I've installed tomorrow through powweb, my web hosting, and I must be doing something wrong, but I'm trying to do changes in the style sheet such as color (as you mention in post 43), and fonts, and after updating I go to the homepage and none of the changes are registered. Hope you can help me with this! :) Btw, the theme of your blog is also tomorrow, isn't it?

Hello,
The solution is displayed in comment n°43 :)

...You should change the style sheet (style.css) as follows:

body, select { background : rgb(0, 0, 0); color : rgb(200, 200, 200); }

Cool! Keep me informed about your work ...

The background color is defined in the stylesheet in the following declaration:

body, select { background : rgb(20, 20, 20); color : rgb(200, 200, 200); }

So, let's say that rgb(20, 20, 20), corresponding to #141414, is a shade of black.
You can modify this value; to have a black background it will be rgb(0, 0, 0), or #000000.

I downloaded your theme for a online comic strip I m developing. Because my comic strip will be black/white/noir, I would like to change the background to dark, or pitch black. I believe the background color to your them is dark gray.

Is there a way I can change the background color to dark?

Your help would be very appreciated.

Hello Guy, thank you very much for the compliments :)
...If I understood correctly your questions (I'm not too sure) you could solve simply through the settings of WordPress. For example, you can have:

Reading Settings/Front page displays: A static page (choose form list)

Or set your blog to have a single post per page:

Reading Settings/Blog pages show at most: 1 post

For the registration thing:

General/Membership: Anyone can register;
Discussion Settings/Other comment settings: users must be registered and logged in to comment.

Finally (this requires more work ...) you may plan to use a single "hybrid" layout for the pages and for the posts.

As most others, I compliment you on 'Tomorrow' - it is beautiful. Thanks. I'm beginning to use it as front end for a site where I use WordPress 2.8.6 as a CMS rather than a blog: for words, images and media.

It's a while since I used html and php every day, so I'm having trouble understanding how to: offer visitors the opportunity to comment, make them register the first time they do so, and what I can use the Pages widget for (including its relationship with the database - as you can see, I've tried to improvise a login system using Pages, but it doesn't force registration, or link to a particular post, unsurprisingly, perhaps, or delete the details of anyone attempting to login).

I suspect I'm the cause of most of these difficulties, but would much appreciate your help.

Hello Kirk, I'm glad you like "Tomorrow".
I'm working on the next version, trying to make it a little easier to manage.

For the date format, if you replace the following line of code:

<?php the_time($date) ?>

with this:

<?php the_time(get_option('date_format')); ?>

the date will be displayed as specified in the Control Panel, in Settings/General /Date format.

For the sidebar: you should edit the code between
<! - RIGHT SIDEBAR ->
and
<! - END OF RIGHT SIDEBAR ->
so to have:

<?php if ( !function_exists('dynamic_sidebar') || !dynamic_sidebar('Right sidebar') ) : ?>
<?php endif; ?>

<?php the_time($date) ?>

with this:

<?php the_time(get_option('date_format')); ?>

the date will be displayed as specified in the Control Panel, in Settings/General /Date format.

For the sidebar: you should edit the code between
<! - RIGHT SIDEBAR ->
and
<! - END OF RIGHT SIDEBAR ->
so to have:

<?php if ( !function_exists('dynamic_sidebar') || !dynamic_sidebar('Right sidebar') ) : ?>
<?php endif; ?>
